”Skrtel out for a month with a fractured fibula”

We all know that it’s not true, it’s not a fractured fibula IT IS A FRACTURED HEART

"

Liverpool have been such a big part of my life and my family’s lives for so long, that leaving is extremely difficult.

The opportunity arose for me to return home to Brondby and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me.

I wouldn’t leave here to go anywhere else and that has been proven by my actions in recent seasons - I have turned down many offers to move to other Premier League and European clubs.

I would like to thank the Liverpool supporters for the incredible backing they have given me in my time here and the warmth and generosity of spirit displayed to my family.

This has been our home and somewhere we have been very happy and settled. However, more recently I have started to feel the effects of playing regularly in a league that is as physically demanding as the Premier League is, and I would not want to stay if I did not think that I was able to meet that challenge week in, week out.

The club itself is very special and I shall remain a supporter for the rest of my life. I regard every game I played at Anfield as a privilege.

He could go to any team and possibly win trophies, but he chooses to go back to Brondby (the team he started his career with) and that’s Daniel Agger summed up for you. The man who rejected City, Barcelona, Milan when Liverpool didn’t have Champions League. His loyalty knows now bounds.

His skill might be replaced, but his legacy will forever hold its own. A true legend. And above that a great, great man. Though it hurts me to no end to see this happen, I do wish him all the luck in the world because he deserves that and then some more. And I hope and pray that he can be happy there.

Thank you for sticking with us during the bad times, thank you for being our defensive rock, thank you for teaching others what loyalty is all about, thank you for being our vice-captain and captain, thank you for choosing Liverpool.

Thank you for being our Dagger.

”Intensity characterizes passion. A passion lacking intensity is an impossibility, just as a hardworking slouch is an impossibility. The intensity of feeling and emotion, seldom, if ever, admits of mathematically precise determination. It isn’t the sort of thing whose instances can be numerically measured, especially on a uniform scale.”- A. Minh Nguyen
In other words, ‘What does Liverpool Football Club mean to Daniel Agger?” “Do we have time for that?”

If there was ever a player who was the embodiment Shankly’s “Liverpool were made for me and I was made for Liverpool” one of them was Agger for me. YNWA, Agger.
